When Alyse asked for her piano back we had to ship it to Hawaii. As such we had to figure out how to ship it. One night as I parked from coming home from school I looked across the way at the adjacent apartment and saw....a million cardboard boxes. Exactly what we needed! They were just really small. So I grabbed three of them and we puzzled them together cleverly with our mutual ideas and WHA-LA! We had a piano box. We used almost 2 full rolls of packing tape and about 10 "Fragile" (for all you "A Christmas Story" watchers, it's pronounced Frah-geel-leh) stickers. Anyway, in the making of this box we had a little fun....

Hawaiian Thanksgiving

Additions to the Family...
November-ish
Don't be alarmed by the title...this does not mean a human addition. Tyler and Kristina (Adam's brother and sister in law) offered us one of their TVs and entertainment center. We also were bringing another couch that Hayley (Adam's sister) gave us. She was getting rid of it because she was moving and buying a new couch.
Sub-Post: This couch was indeed a grandma's couch as it apparent by it's pattern. Due to it's pattern there was extreme reluctance on the part of Kendra. Previously on the life of Adam and Kendra there was a concession on the part of Adam...to take the weight set out. Therefore Adam's proposal was that due to that concession previously there was a request for a concession from Kendra to let the couch in. After much deliberation and .... such. The couch entered our lives.
NOTE: If you're confused as to what a Tetris Master is referring to, here's what it means. Tetris is a game of making everything fit in a small space. So to be a Tetris Master with regards to an apartment is being able to fit everything without being too incredibly squished. Don't you feel enlightened?

Is it really THAT bad?
So we didn't exactly know how this was going to fit in out little apartment but it was nice stuff so Adam was going make it work. Did you know he's a certified Tetris Master??...self-certified of course, but certified nonetheless. So long story short you can see by the pictures that we did in fact make it work. It's tight and some might wonder if it really is only 500 sq ft. Tetris master??...indeed. Any Questions?

Some time in August
Well in the summer we noticed that Kendra was having some pain in her mouth. It appeared as though there was a massive sore in her mouth. Her wisdom teeth had started to come in and it was digging in her cheeks in the back of her mouth. She'd been needing to get them out ever since before we were married but now it was urgent because she could hardly open her mouth without extreme pain. So we went to a dentist in Nephi and got some X-rays of her mouth and took them to Cougar Dental and we were able to get an appointment in a week.
Now those of use who know Kendra, know that she doesn't do too well with general anesthetic let alone being tired. So we didn't do general anesthesia, we just did local anesthesia. Little did we know the affects of even local anesthesia. The pictures say it all.

Well when we got back from our honeymoon we "officially" moved into our apartment. We had already put all of our stuff in there but only Adam had stayed there for a few days before the wedding. It was pretty cool having our own apartment. It's a small apartment only about 500 sq. ft. but that's all we need. It's got one bathroom, one bedroom, a kitchen and a front room. Pretty basic. At first the only furniture we had was a bed a dresser and Adam's weight set (which Kendra was not very fond of). But there was no argument to take it out seeing as there wasn't anything to replace it with. The night that we got back from our honeymoon Tyler (Adam's brother) delivered all of our weddings presents along with a table and chairs and microwave that we got from Adam's high school ex-girlfriend, interesting.
Then we found a deal to get a new couch and a loveseat for 600. We thought that was a deal seeing as most of the new stuff we were looking at was about 500-600 for just a couch. So we went to check it out and they seemed pretty good so we put a deposit down to hold them while we made the final decision. We eventually went with them and had the guy deliver them. Well when we got them home and unwrapped them the loveseat's arm rest fabric was damaged. The staples that were holding the fabric tight around the frame were undone and it was just open. So before we called the guy to swap it out we decided to see if the couches would even fit together, they were pretty big. We started to arrange them and try to make them work but they were just too big, for the miniture space we have. So as one of them was damaged we decided to call him and tell him that we'd just stick with the couch and he could take the damaged loveseat back. He was fine with that (it seemed) and gave us 200 bucks back (he just didn't deposit our deposit check).
After we had the couch in there it seemed a little more homey but still rather sparse. We didn't care though. Then we got a TV from Adam's parents and needed a stand for it, so Adam when and bought 2-2X4X10 boards from Home Depot and made us a TV stands. He sanded them by hand and everything on July 4th while Kendra was at work. Our very own entertainment center, custom made.

The Honeymoon
June 5, 2009 - June 12 2009
Well after the wedding naturally we went on a honeymoon. We stayed in Salt Lake at the Marriott before we were off to Zions National Park. Adam had never been there so this was quite an adventure. The drive wasn't bad but we left a little later than we anticipated so we got to our bed and breakfast a little late. It was a pretty awesome Bed and Breakfast as you can see here: These shots are of course the only ones necessary to judge a bed and breakfast...
I can't remember what it was called, but I would recommend it to anyone. The breakfasts were really good and it's a half mile outside of the entrance to Zions Park. We had a lot of fun at Zions park. We went on three hikes in one day. If anyone is familiar with Zions Park they'll realize the magnitude of our decision. We went on the narrows (for a good 2 hours), then Angel's Landing, and then the emerald pools. Needless to say we were DEAD by the end of it and we were feeling it the rest of the trip. It was roughly 15 miles of hiking on very uneven and steep hikes. It was awesome though.

This was the day that we Adam Thompson and Kendra Osburn got married. We said our I do's (yes's in reality) and sealed the deal...quite literally. This was quite a crazy day. We both slept at our respective parentals homes and got ready there. We were to meet at the temple at 1:05 for pre-marriage-ness and just to have time to ourselves for a little but before. It was really nice. We got married in the Salt Lake Temple at 2:20. After that we got lots of pictures taken outside the temple and we had to rush to the Thompson residence in Layton for our reception at 7 (to 9). We first stopped off at the church for a quick and small luncheon thing with the Osburn family (which was delicious) and we went over to help with the final preparations for the reception. By this time we were thinking....are we really married....just like that? Yeah, it was pretty weird.
Anyway, when we were trying to get everything ready for when people started arriving of course there had to be a ridiculously huge wind storm come up. When in Layton are there wind storms....I mean seriously, It was a backyard reception and everything was blowing away! So we tried as best we could to keep everything from flying away. The biggest problem was the arch thing that we were standing under kept falling over into the bushes so we had to hold on to it as we greeted people coming through the line. Finally around 8:00 pm after an hour of wind battling the wind died down and it was calm. Then we had a little dance and cake eat-age. Finally 9:00pm came around and the reception was over. We got our things together and we were off on our Honeymoon. Not before of course my friends DESTROYED my car. Yeah, you know who you are. They went above and beyond any careful destruction. This was full out unconcerned for ANYTHING, silly string on my seats and little hole punch papers EVERYWHERE (I'm still finding those in my car). After that we drove off to our honeymoon...

New Blog - Look how happy we are!
Well we got married about 6 months ago and with the craziness of school and work and living a little bit of a distance from home we don't get to go there very much. Only 70/40 miles but still a good distance when even our weekends are dedicated to homework, sad I know. But now that school's out for the Christmas break we thought that we'd get into those big world of blogging and let people know what's going on with us, whether you want to know or now I guess. There have been several noteworthy happens in our life since our marriage and including our marriage so we thought that we'd just back up a little bit first and recap the last 6 months in several posts and pictures. I don't how how to back date these posts so I'll just put approximately when it was in the beginning of each post. Enjoy and feel free to comment.
